One Sailing Update

by Richard McMinn

Yachting Tasmania and Yachting Australia have signed an agreement to work together as one of the final steps in the One Sailing discussions.

This agreement transfers responsibility of all administrative tasks to a central Yachting Australia team. As part of this transfer all Yachting Tasmania staff have transferred to Yachting Australia employment. This means that Tasmanian clubs and sailors will still have a local representative and contact person for any questions or concerns. A number of the administrative tasks and club services will now be coordinated by central teams of experts in the fields.

Over the coming months clubs can expect to be contacted by some new people as the centralised services fall into place and the Yachting Asutralia staff in those areas start working with clubs and states to develop and implement nation-wide programs and initiatives.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
